Among the Society's purposes is to promote and support genealogy in Quebec for those that primarily use the English language. The Society has a number of publications for sale that may be useful to the Frampton Irish researcher. The Society also has an extensive library of genealogical and historical materials. The society will also loan (by mail) many materials and books to members who live a long distance from their library. They will also do limited look-ups in their reference only collection for members. Many of the sources listed on the Frampton Irish webpage are contained in their library and publications for sale.

http://www.distribute.net/~louises/malachie/malachy.html This is a webpage by fellow Frampton Irish researcher Louise Smith. It contains information about the history of the Parish of St. Malachie (East Frampton) in the County of Bellechasse, Quebec.

http://www.ancestryireland.com This is the website of the Ulster Historical Foundation. The website has 1.5 million birth and marriage records for Counties Antrim & Down and the city of Belfast. In Histoire de la Paroisse de Saint Malachie by Fr. Jules Adrien Kirouac, Kirouac mentions that many of the Irish emigrants that settled in St. Malachie (East Frampton) in the 1830's came from the Irish counties of Armagh, Limerick, and Antrim. Specific mention is made of the Antrim place names of Ballycastle, Ballymena, and Ballymoney. Therefore, this website may be useful in confirming the origins of some of the Frampton Irish. The website does have several free searches and databases. However, much of the records can only be accessed through a paid subscription to the site.

Since Ballymoney was specifically mentioned as a possible origin of Frampton Irish settlers in Histoire de la Paroisse de Saint Malachie it may be useful to Frampton Irish researchers.

http://www.public.sogetel.net/devalter/ The website is in French. It contains Guy Devalter's database of marriages in the Chaudiere-Appalaches region. This databases has numerous Frampton Irish marriages. I found my own McLane (McLean) ancestors in this database. From the main page, click on monsite sur us genealogy which is Devalter's "Base de Donnees Genealogique." This will take you to the search page.

http://simmons.b2b2c.ca/ This is the Eastern Townships of Quebec Genealogy webpage done by Marlene Simmons. Marlene has a searchable database of many records for the Eastern Townships. But she has also indexed the Protestant church records for the Frampton vicinity and they are included in her database. She will extract specific records for a small fee. Her webpage also includes an article that discusses Notarial records.

Many of Frampton's early Irish settlers came from County Wexford around 1820. Although my own search request concerning my Frampton Murphy ancestors had negative results, I do know of another Frampton Irish researcher who found evidence of the origins of his Frampton Irish ancestors through this service.

Many Frampton Irish settlers may have come from this location. I know of one Frampton Irish researcher who found evidence of the origins of her Frampton Irish ancestors through this service.

http://www.culture-quebec.qc.ca/patrimoine-beauce/ This is the website of Societe du Patrimoine des Beaucerons. The website is in French. The Societe has a small archives and library located in St. Joseph de Beauce. They have books, materials and maps related to the history of the Beauce district. I have visited at their location and was able to view a history of the Parish of Ste. Marguerite and an old map of the Henderson Settlements of Frampton Township.

http://www.collectionscanada.ca/02/02012202_e.html This web page is the search page for the 1901 Canada census. Searches can be done by location. Irish families still living in the Frampton vicinity in 1901 can be found on the census images available on this page.

http://www.familysearch.org This is the LDS Family History website. Among its various databases in the 1881 Canada census. Many Frampton Irish families can be found among the names of those living in the Frampton vicinity. This website also has the Family History Library catalog where microfilms for other Canada censuses, Frampton vicinity church records, and Quebec notary records can be found. These microfilms can be borrowed through local LDS family history centers. Note: the hundreds of microfilms of Quebec notary records are not indexed. If searching for ancestral notary documents is desired, I would recommend purchase of the (Dorchester notary index) on my research products page, it will save you hours and hours of search time.

The museum is devoted to historical information concerning the Murphy family who migrated from Frampton (departed in 1842) and were among the first to cross North America by wagon train to California in 1844.

Many fo the Frampton Irish migrated on this road and many settled in th towns of Somerset County, Maine. The site has access to cemetery records, marriage records, etc.
